This Part includes 7 lessons of about 50 minutes, and 15 page work bundle / assessment that has students fill-in critical notes, conduct exciting hands-on activities, answer questions, graph activities, complete quizzes, includes games, and much more. The work bundle chronologically follows the detailed slideshow for an amazing learning experience. This Part begins learning about lab safety and includes detailed slides, important video links, and a wrap-up quiz. Next, students learn about magnification, types of microscopes, how to use and handle microscopes, parts of a microscope, optics, and use microscopes to conduct a series of tasks. Part 2 Explores explores the International Systems of Units. This Part has 5 lessons of 50 minutes and 12 page Work bundle that chronologically follows the PowerPoint slideshows. Student learn about Metric System, and compare to the US Customary System, learn the powers of ten, Scientific Notation / Significant Digits, and Metric Conversions. Part 3 Focuses on Base Units of the Metric System and has 6 lessons of 50 minutes and 11 page work bundle. This Part explores prefixes of the metric system, measuring, base units, mass, temperature, time, distance, and other units. Part 4 Explores Volume and Density. This Part has 4 lessons of 50 minutes, and 9 page work bundle. Students learn how to find volume of solids and liquids, learn about mass and then learn how to calculate density. There's plenty of hands-on activities, and even opportunity to calculate the density of a student using water displacement. A short quiz / assessment concludes this learning section.

 

Part 5 is about Observation and the Scientific Method. This part includes 8 lessons of 50 minutes and 14 page work bundle. Students begin learning what science is and the scientific method. Students learn to write procedures, learn about variables, learn about graphing, and conduct experiments. Students then learn about observation, and practice their observation skills. Some neat activities and experiments keep the pace moving in a positive direction.
